This Privacy Policy explains how Soceth (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our websites (including soceth.com) or use our mobile application Locatch (the “Service”).

We do not run ads and we do not sell your data. We only collect what we need to operate and improve the Service, keep it secure, and comply with legal obligations.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Account information

• Email address
• Nickname / username
• Full name (if you choose to provide it)
• Date of birth (used to confirm that you are at least 18 years old)
• Authentication data provided by Google or Facebook if you sign in with those providers

1.2 Profile & content

• Profile photos (optional). You may upload a profile picture to personalize your Locatch profile. This is optional; the app also works without a profile photo.
• Basic profile details you choose to add (for example, biography, interests, traits, or other fields available in the app).

Profile photos are used only inside Locatch to show your profile to other users. We do not use your photos for advertising, and we do not sell them or share them with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

1.3 Usage and device information

• Basic server logs (IP address, browser or app version, device type, timestamps)
• App usage information (for example, which screens are opened, basic interaction events)
• Crash reports and performance data

1.4 Location and events

Locatch is a location-based events app. With your permission, we may collect approximate or precise location data to:

• Show nearby events and improve recommendations
• Allow you to create events with a location

You can control location permissions at any time in your device settings. Location data is not used for ads.

1.5 Communications & support

• Messages you send us by email (for example, to info@soceth.com or in-app support)
• In-app reports and feedback (such as reporting a profile or event)

2. How we use your information

• To create and maintain your account and profile
• To show you events and other profiles in Locatch
• To operate, maintain, and improve the Service
• To prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Community Guidelines
• To communicate with you about updates, security alerts, and support
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms

3. Photos and sensitive content

Photos and videos on a user’s device are considered personal and sensitive data. Locatch only accesses the photos you explicitly choose to upload as your profile picture. We do not scan your entire photo library.

You are not allowed to upload content that involves child sexual abuse or exploitation, non-consensual intimate images, or other illegal or abusive material. We reserve the right to remove such content, suspend or terminate accounts, and where required, report illegal activity to the relevant authorities.

4. Legal basis (where applicable)

When required by law (for example, in the EU/EEA), we rely on the following legal bases:

• Performance of a contract (providing the Service to you)
• Legitimate interests (for security, analytics, and improving the Service)
• Consent (for optional features such as profile photos and device location)

5. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share data only in these limited situations:

• Service providers. For example, cloud hosting, databases, analytics, push notifications, and subscription management. These providers process data on our behalf under contracts that require them to protect your information.
• Legal reasons. When we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with the law, protect our rights, investigate abuse, or respond to valid legal requests.

6. Retention & deletion

We keep your data for as long as you have an account and as needed to operate the Service. When you delete your account from within the Locatch app or request deletion, we:

• Delete or anonymize your profile information and account identifiers
• Delete your profile photo(s) from our storage
• Delete or anonymize event participation records and other data that can reasonably be linked back to you, except where we must keep some information for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons

7. Child safety and age requirement

Locatch is intended for adults only and may not be used by anyone under 18 years old. We ask for your date of birth during signup to help enforce this rule.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and the sexual exploitation of minors. If we become aware of such content or behaviour, we will:

• Remove the content and may suspend or terminate the account
• Report the matter to the relevant authorities where required by law

8. Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. You can:

• Update or delete your profile information in the app
• Delete your account from within the app

9. Security

We use technical and organizational measures that are designed to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. If changes are material, we may also provide additional notice in the app or by email.
